Tocmoche makes sense from above. The route links several viewpoints leaning over the ravine, each with its own angle: the flower arch, the golden sun, the yellow arch with the flag and the bridge hanging behind.
On clear days the valley stretches as far as you can see, with crops climbing the slopes. When the mist rolls in, which is common here in the morning, the landscape changes completely and the hills appear and vanish.
They are short stops, but this is where almost every photograph of the trip is taken. The guide knows when each viewpoint has the best light.
