NATURAL LANDSCAPE
River visit
Green pools among huge boulders, at the bottom of the ravine.
CHECK AVAILABILITYRiver visit
- Closed shoes with good grip
- Wet rocks are slippery
- A good spot for unhurried photographs
The Tocmoche river runs boxed in between rocks the size of a house. The tour goes down to its pools, where the water settles and takes on a green colour that surprises everyone the first time.
It is the calmest part of the day and, for many, the prettiest. You walk a stretch among boulders, cross the wooden hanging bridge and reach a series of pools with small waterfalls.
The ground is uneven and the rocks are slippery when wet, so footwear matters more here than at any other stop.
